Renew Your Life - Mohammed Al-Ghazali

Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves 

Very often a person likes to begin a new page in life, but ties this longed-for beginning to an appointment with unknown fate, such as an improvement in his situation or a change in his status, or he may tie it to a certain season or special occasion, such as a birthday or the start of a new year, for example. In this procrastination, he feels that some stream of hoped-for strength may arrive with this appointment, reviving him after lethargy and giving him hope after despair

And this is an illusion

( ( The renewal of life springs, before anything else, from within the self ) 

. And the man who faces the world with resolve and insight is not subdued by the circumstances around him, however bad they may be, nor do they steer him according to

their whims; it is he who benefits from them and keeps his own character in the face of them

Like flower seeds buried beneath heaps of marshy mud, which then force their way upward, greeting the sunlight

with their refreshing fragrance; they have transformed the dark, fetid mud and the murky water into vivid color and a sweet-smelling scent 

A human being, with his latent powers, his buried talents, and the limited or meager opportunities available to him, can rebuild his life anew

. ( ( The happiness that all people seek flows upon them from their own souls and hearts, and never comes to them from outside these

hearts, and the misery that surrounds them and from which they flee likewise befalls them through these very hearts and souls ))

(( O man, do not make the building of your life hang on a wish born of the unseen, for postponement will bring you no good ))
