About the author of The Great News (Al-Naba' al-Azim) 

Sheikh “Muhammad Abdullah Draz” was born in a village in the Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate in rural Egypt in 1894 CE, and was raised in a household marked by learning and piety. His father was a renowned jurist and linguist of wide learning who produced distinguished commentaries on Imam al-Shatibi's “Al-Muwafaqat”, and his grandfather was an Azhari sheikh who led a circle of students of Islamic law so that they could benefit from his vast knowledge

The importance of the book lies in its ability to prove, through rational, historical and circumstantial evidence, that the Quran is the word of God, and that it cannot be a forgery, an invention or a distortion
