Marriage is one of the signs of God and one of His great blessings: “And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy” [Al-Rum: 21] 
So that marriage may be a sign from which affection and mercy grow, Islam has surrounded it with a framework of guidelines and laws that organize it and keep it on course, so that the spouses may ultimately reach a happy, tranquil life
