About the Author of Rhetoric Unveiled

Mostafa Amin was an Egyptian journalist and writer, born in Cairo on February 21, 1914. He and his twin brother, "Ali Amin," were born in the home of their maternal uncle, the leader (Saad Zaghloul). After graduating from the Faculty of Law in 1935, he traveled to the United States where he enrolled in Georgetown University and obtained a Master's degree in Political Science in 1938, then returned to Egypt.

Ali El-Garem, Ali bin Saleh bin Abdul Fattah El-Garem, was an Egyptian litterateur, poet, and writer, born in the city of Rashid, Egypt, in 1881. He began his education in a school in Rashid then completed his secondary education in Cairo. He traveled to England to continue his studies, then returned to Egypt where he worked diligently and sincerely for his nation, holding several educational and teaching positions. He was appointed as the chief inspector of the Arabic language, and also as the deputy of Dar Al-Uloom, remaining in this position until 1924. He also participated in numerous scientific and cultural conferences and was elected as a member of the Academy of the Arabic Language.

Description of the Book "Rhetoric Unveiled"

Mostafa Amin is influenced by his prison experience due to his rejection of dependency and submission, and he writes the novel "No" which conveys the limits of the reality he lives within his cell, no more than three meters by two meters, and restricts his collapsing dream of the freedom he desires. He talks about his beloved character "Abdul Mutaal Mahjoub" and the extent to which the authority of the jailers inside the prison affects his speech and his outpouring of it. Simply put, Mostafa Amin draws inspiration for his novel "No" from his prison experience, describing the limits of reality and expressing his dreams and beloved ideas through his chosen character, Abdul Mutaal Mahjoub.
