In this book, Al-Manfaluti expressed the problems brewing in his society, which divided opinions between supporters and opponents, such as the issue of the veil, the issue of imitating Westernized individuals, and the corruption that prevailed in society as a result of class disparity and foreign colonialism. He also expressed the aspirations, sorrows, and pains in the souls of young people, and his stories were, in their content, drops of tears he shed before the readers. In the introduction to "Al-Abarat," he describes this by saying: "The wretched in this world are many, and a miserable person like me cannot erase their misery and wretchedness, so the least I can do is shed these tears before them, perhaps they will find solace and comfort in my weeping." In all that he wrote, Al-Manfaluti's writings served as guidance for the youth and for all readers, and an indirect call to uphold human virtues and good morals, a significant aspect that we often see in Al-Manfaluti's literature.
