About the Author
He is the Hanbali jurist, Hadith scholar, historian, and theologian, Abu al-Faraj Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Hasan, Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qurashi al-Taymi al-Bakri. He was born in Baghdad and also died there on the 12th of Ramadan in the year 597 AH (1116 CE). He gained wide fame and held a prominent position in rhetoric, preaching, and writing, excelling in many sciences and arts.
