Safwat Jouda Ahmed mentions in his book "Prophets in the Holy Quran" that Abraham, peace be upon him, was eighty-six years old, and Sarah's jealousy intensified. She could not bear to see Hagar and her child Ishmael, so she confided in Abraham what she felt and asked him to take Hagar and her child to a distant land away from her so she would not see them. Abraham hesitated out of compassion for his young son.
