The Divan of Al-Mazini

This is a poetry collection by Ibrahim Abdel Kader Al-Mazini, consisting of three parts. He began it with "Nature and Tradition in Modern Poetry," in which he discussed Al-Aqqad's opinions on contemporary poets and their adoption of imitation in ancient Arabic poetry. Despite his call for free verse, he maintained a focus on weight and rhyme in his collection, and herein lies the paradox.
