He left behind a great legacy of powerful and clear poetry, comprising 326 poems that serve as a biography of his life. In them, he vividly depicted life in the fourth century AH, and from them, one can infer how wisdom flowed from his tongue, especially in his later poems where he seemed to bid farewell to the world when he said: "Love has worn out my body."
