Amr ibn al-Aas al-Aqqad

The character of “Amr ibn al-Aas” was one of the most important figures in Islamic history due to the nature of his upbringing in a harsh environment that glorified chivalry and celebrated courage. He was one of the Arab knights who excelled in horsemanship and sword fighting.

Throughout his life, Amr ibn al-Aas worked in trade, and his travels were frequent, and he became acquainted with different customs and dispositions; this gave him great experience in trade and negotiations; therefore, he was at the head of a delegation sent by the Quraysh tribe to the Negus to hand over the Muslim immigrants (before Amr converted to Islam). Then Amr, with his insight and intelligence, realized that the best of both worlds meet in a new religion. Since the Prophet promised Islam voluntarily with his potential and genius to serve the new religion, his brilliance as a skilled military leader appears in multiple conquests for Muslims until he reaches his greatest and most important works and conquers Egypt, then he takes over its rules with amazing political matters and Egypt serves Islam and will be the crown of its crown.
