Mohamed Bakr Ismail is an Egyptian writer and Islamic preacher. He was born in Al-Mahamid, Edfu Center, Aswan Governorate, in 1936, and memorized the Holy Quran at an early age. He obtained his Master's and Doctorate degrees with distinction and first-class honors in Tafsir (Quranic exegesis) and Quranic Sciences from the Faculty of Usul al-Din at Al-Azhar University. He worked as a faculty member at Al-Azhar University until he reached the rank of professor in the Faculty of Islamic Studies. He had a great impact in the field of da'wah (Islamic propagation) throughout Egypt and the Islamic world, where he worked as a professor in a number of Arab universities.

Despite specializing in Tafsir, he had a comprehensive Islamic culture, enriching the Islamic library with a large number of books and writings in the fields of Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history, language, rhetoric, and other branches of knowledge. The number of his works reached more than eighty books, most notably: "Al-Fiqh Al-Wadih Ala Al-Madhahib Al-Arbaa" (Clear Fiqh According to the Four Schools), "Dirasat fi Ulum Al-Quran" (Studies in Quranic Sciences), "Al-Bayan fi Ahkam Tilawat Al-Quran" (Clarification of the Rules of Quranic Recitation), "Khulasat Al-Tafsir" (Summary of Tafsir), "Wasaya Al-Rasool صلى الله عليه وسلم" (Recommendations of the Messenger, peace be upon him), "Rijal Ahabahum Al-Rasool صلى الله عليه وسلم wa Basharahum bil Jannah" (Men Whom the Messenger, peace be upon him, Loved and Promised Paradise), and "Mu'minat Lahunn Ind Allah Sha'n" (Believing Women Who Have a Status with Allah).
