Wars have taken many forms since the dawn of creation, with humans continuously developing and inventing various tools and weapons for them. Among the newest types of warfare is cyber warfare, or electronic warfare via the internet. This is a form of warfare and a military action that involves using electromagnetic energy to control a domain characterized by the use of electronics and the electromagnetic spectrum to exchange data across networked systems and their associated infrastructures.
Cyber warfare does not concern only technologically advanced nations, nor should it. Cyberspace is inherently interconnected, and thus, attacks launched in cyberspace against one nation can affect many other nations, whether intentionally or accidentally, regardless of their location.
We have witnessed this trend in recent years when malware spread rapidly, leaving almost no country untouched by its effects. This resulted in the freezing of government agency operations, crippling businesses, hindering logistics centers, and causing losses and subsequent repairs estimated at billions.
