The Genius of Bilal ibn Rabah al-Aqqad

Abbas Mahmoud Al-Aqqad (1889-1964) was an Egyptian litterateur, thinker, journalist, and poet, born in Aswan, southern Egypt, to an Egyptian father and a mother of Kurdish origins. Al-Aqqad was famous for his literary and intellectual writings and contributed significantly to literary and political life

Al-Aqqad translates the life of one of the most famous companions of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and one of the most important figures in Islamic history, our master Bilal ibn Rabah (may God be pleased with him), who was an Abyssinian slave bought by Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may God be pleased with him) and freed to become a free Muslim.
