In the company of the righteous: Rabee Al-Zawawi

The caravan of faith still proceeds on its path with radiant steps, led by righteous guardians who paid attention when many were heedless. They wove threads of happiness with their lives when sinners tore it apart, and they made this world a farm for the hereafter, so their planting was good and their harvest excellent. Whoever observes their righteous company closely finds comfort in those within it and seeks refuge in their shade, hoping to walk alongside them and be under their banner. How wonderful it is to live in their presence, and how worthy it is to be close to them and emulate them. And how true are the words of Imam Shafi'i when he said, "I love the righteous, though I am not among them, and I detest those whose trade is disobedience, hoping that through them I might gain intercession, even if we were equal in our merchandise." And here, my dear reader, we have opened the gate of their city for you, so enter it and wander through its paths to know its inhabitants, may Allah make us and you among them or close to them.
